Liu Tianhua\n\n\n\nChinese stringed instruments cover a wide range of timbral styles\, from the soft and gentle to the grandiose\, and are capable of expressing deep emotions. The annual show of the orchestra’s string section\, under the artistic direction of renowned contemporary erhu master Deng Jiandong\, is a collection of Chinese operas\, folk music and traditional works from different regions. The “Blossom and Flourish” Elite Concert will be conducted by Ge Yanan\, the young conductor of the China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra\, and will feature huqin performer Zhang Haiyue\, first prize winner of the Erhu Competition of the 14th Chinese Golden Bell Awards for Music\, as well as the popular yangqin duo “Yangqin CP”\, made up of young musicians Ip Iek Chio and Chou Teng Teng\, together presenting a powerful emerging force. \nIn addition\, talented young local musicians will be featured\, such as Lam Cheok Sing\, winner of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize (Chinese Instrumental Solo) at the 42nd Macao Youth Competition\, who will perform Chinese percussion; and Sacred Heart Canossian College (English Section) \, winner of the Gold Prize in the category of Choirs under 16 – piece of their choice – at the Musica Orbis Prague Festival 2024. \nThe concert will also include the performance of “Little Soloists”\, young musician auditioned by the Macao Chinese Orchestra\, bringing new energy to the music field! \n  \nHighlighted programmes \nErhu Concerto “Amanisha” – Comp. by Wang Danhong \n “Dawu Mountain Blue” for two yangqin and Orchestra – Comp.
