It originated in the Zaju of the Yuan dynasty and developed during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It integrates various traditional opera techniques and has high artistic value as a precious treasure for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region. \nIn this crossover collaboration between Chinese music and Cantonese opera\, the leading figure Zeng Xiaomin and famous artists will bring us excerpts from “Sweet Girl” and “The White Snake Legend”\, exploring the essences of Cantonese opera. \nIn 2006\, it was placed on the first batch of the national list of non-material heritage and in 2009\, on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity Lists.  \nThe organizer reserves the right to alter the programme and/ or the cast of performers. \n  \nCantonese Opera Performance Group \nGuangdong Cantonese Opera Institute \n The organizer reserves the right to alter the programme and/ or the cast of performers.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Li Minxiong\n\n\nPercussion Solo “Dance Tableau of Layered Drums and Frozen Strings” (Macao Premiere)\nComp. Wang Jun\n\n\nTaiyuan Gong and Drum Ensemble “Playing the Cymbals” (Macao Premiere)\nShanxi Folk Gong and Drum Music Arr. Wang Jun\n\n\n\nPercussion has a rich and colorful sound with strong rhythmic rhythms\, and the flexibility of the percussion technique is a great test of the performer’s skills. The concert was led by percussionist Wang Yidong\, who led the vocalists of the orchestra to perform a number of powerful pieces.  \nThe wonderful “Multiple Drumming Inspired by Tang Music and Dance Scenes” is created with the “multiple drumming” technique\, that is\, using a pair of drumsticks to perform a technique similar to that of “multiple mallets”.
