Liuqin performer Wei Qing will present Liuqin Concerto Macao\u00a0Rhapsody, <\/em>a 1990s\u00a0<\/em>classic written by prominent composer Kuan Nai-chung for the Macao Chinese Orchestra. Daruan player Zhu Wenyao will interpret Daruan concerto Be Better Daily<\/em> composed in a humorous, jazzy,\u00a0romantic,\u00a0musical\u00a0language, which portrays a yearning for a better tomorrow in youthful days. In addition, the concert features Hymn<\/em>, the 6th piece from the suite Bach\u2019s<\/em>Musical Melodies<\/em> composed by renowned contemporary Chinese composer Tang Jianping on the 250th anniversary of J. S. Bach\u2019s death. The work integrates Prelude No. 1<\/em> from Well-Tempered Clavier<\/em> by Bach with melodies of ancient Chinese Buddhist tunes, representing a spiritual dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures.<\/p>\n
