Peng Xiuwen is a recognised master of Chinese music! His lifelong dedication to the innovation and development of Chinese music, and the adaptation and composition of more than 400 classical works, have laid the foundation of the modern Chinese Orchestra’s establishment, and even pioneered the ‘national symphony’. He has been honoured as the ‘Father of China’s Modern National Symphony’, and 2026 is the 95th Anniversary of Peng’s birth, the Orchestra pays special tribute to this era-defining giant and remembers his monumental contribution.<\/p>\n

The concert features some of Maestro Peng’s landmark works, including an adaptation of Mussorgsky’s Symphony ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ and the magnificent Fantasia ‘Terracotta Warriors of Qin’. We are honoured to invite the renowned conductor Pang Ka Pang to conduct the concert, rendering the magnificent music written by the music titan.<\/p>\n
