From ancient walls to living sound—myths reborn in every note
This concert spans diverse mythologies, opening with Shi Fuhong’s Fantasia of Wind and Thunder, which recreates the grandeur of Dunhuang murals through fierce percussion and winds. New premieres include a work inspired by the Nüwa creation myth, using crystalline plucked-string tones to depict primordial vitality, and Yang Yibo’s piece based on the Nine-Colored Deer tale, conveying themes of integrity and compassion. From Dunhuang to Greco-Roman, Norse, Chinese, Egyptian, and Mesopotamian legends, the concert showcases chamber music’s refined and profound artistry.
