The Macao Chinese Orchestra (hereinafter “OCHM”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the users of this website (hereinafter “Website”), and has prepared this Personal Data Privacy Policy based on the Personal Data Protection Act. OCHM undertakes that all personal data submitted to the Website fall within the scope of protection of this policy, and endeavours to provide the users with a safe and reliable online platform.

Non-personal information collected and processed by the WebsiteUsers are not required to provide any personal information if only visiting the Website and not executing a service or submitting an application on it. However, the IT system OCHM uses may automatically record the following technical data:

    – user’s Internet domain name and IP address;
    – the date and time of  visit;
    – the web pages visited;
    – if user links to the Website through a hyperlink from another website, the domain name of that website

    Any information that could identify a user will not be collected. The data collected will only be used to produce statistical reports and to investigate problems within the computer system to help optimise the Website.     2. Suggestion box
      To comment on the work or activities of OCHM, name, telephone number and email of user will be required.
    3. Applying to be a “Friend of OCHM”
      If users want to become “Friends of OCHM” they will need to provide name, gender, date of birth, telephone number, email and address.
    4. Joining the “Youth Traditional Chinese Music Promotion Program”
      To join the program, users will need to provide name, gender, date of birth, grade/level (curriculum stage), telephone number, email and address.
      The personal data collected is intended only for registration purposes and provide users with services and the latest information on OCHM’s activities. If the required information is not provided, the Website will be unable to process any registration.
      Users must ensure that all data provided is true and complete. OCHM reserves the right to cancel, without prior notice, any registration or application in case of any reasonable doubt about the information provided.
  3. Confidentiality measures for personal data
    OCHM will utilise appropriate information security technology to transmit and store any information registered, to ensure that the personal data you provide is protected and only accessible to authorised personnel. However, users must understand and beware that the transmission of information online has inherent risks.     According to the Personal Data Protection Act of Macao, the applicants who have filled out their personal data in the Website have the rights of access and correction of such data if necessary. Such applicants may apply in a proper way to OCHM to access or correct their personal data.
